What you'll do:
Welcomes patients in a professional manner, collects co-pays, and insurance cards.
Completes all required check-in procedures.
Prepares clinics by obtaining lab results, imaging, etc.
from PCP offices, and hospitals, and prior authorization for medications, imaging, procedures, etc.
Scans and updates medical records into EMR/EPIC.
Maintains medical records.
Fills and refills prescriptions if assigned.
Confirms and updates medication lists.
Complete all rooming procedures:
vital signs, social and medical history etc.
Complete check-out procedures.
Calls patients with physician comments and instructions.
Completes referral paperwork for initiation of dialysis.
Schedules outpatient appointments pertaining to dialysis access, ultrasound, MRI etc.
We're looking for someone with:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Two years of Medical Assistant experience.
