Qualifications: oDoctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.) or Masters in Science oASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency or 2-4 years comparable pharmacy experience; Pediatric Pharmacy Specialty Residency Preferred oInterest and experience in pediatric hematology/oncology (pediatric cancers, chemotherapy regimens and complications, patient monitoring) required oGeneral knowledge of computer applications oExperience with presentations oUnderstanding of a hospital environment oState registration as a pharmacist obtained within 60 days of hiring oSchedule flexibility, to meet the needs of the institution and system. oMobility, to attend patient care rounds, code blue emergencies, review patient charts, and attend meetings in various hospital locations. oAbility to act and make decisions in emergency situations. oGood interpersonal skills in order to effectively work with others. oFamiliarity with universal precautions oAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work to complete urgent tasks preferentially. oThere is potential of exposure of toxic drugs and patients with multiple disease states.
Job Description: This position is for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Specialist with an inpatient focus. Working closely with the pediatric heme/onc physicians and the multidisciplinary patient care team, this pharmacist would be active in all aspects of pharmaceutical care in pediatric cancer patients at Advocate Children's Hospital - Park Ridge. Develops and implements integrated pharmaceutical care services which foster effective therapeutics while maximizing quality patient care and financial responsibilities. Accountabilities: 1. Working as a part of the patient care team, applies current pharmacotherapeutic principles to optimize care. 2. Communicates effectively, presenting a professional and positive image of the pharmacy and the hospital. 3. Maintains a patient oriented and cost effective focus. 4. Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and development. 5. Participates in Quality Assurance activities. 6. Provides drug distribution services as assigned. 7. Demonstrates ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations regarding medication use at Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee Meetings. 8. Represents the Pharmacy in multi-disciplinary teams to improve patient care. 9. Provides teaching to patients and families, as well as medical residents and students, pharmacy residents and students, and other care providers.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
