Radiology Service Engineer II

Purpose: A mid level technical position designed to utilize advanced skills needed to repair and maintain medical imaging equipment. Experience generally includes ability to perform inspections on a broad variety of general diagnostic equipment, and intermediate to advanced skills on more than one modality. Equipment supported directly typically includes: fixed and portable x ray, R and F, CR/DR, PACS, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine. Skillset would include ability to replace major part assemblies (boards and glassware) on most general modalities with minor assistance if any. Accountabilities: Corrective Maintenance Scheduled Maintenance, Safety and Quality Assurance Testing Clinical Support Technical Projects, Education and Other Duties Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electronics, computer science or biomedical equipment technology. Three years of experience working on multiple classes of medical imaging equipment with demonstrated knowledge of corrective and scheduled maintenance practices required. Specialization in one class of medical imaging equipment Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively use a computer to document work. Ability to run standard reports in the computerized maintenance management system. Effectively use the company standard e mail system. Limited knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to use test equipment consistent with the maintenance, testing and calibration of medical imaging equipment. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Excellent soldering skills. Ability to perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on a wide variety of medical imaging devices Eligibility for International Certification Commission certification as a Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) is preferred. Potential stressfully environment. Potential exposure to high voltage, blood and air borne pathogens and bodily fluids. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
